San Paolo, in Brazil, is the only city in the world, I know of, that has a ban on advertisement in the streets! I would SOO love to go! In fact I'm going to go next year! I just made that deal with my self right this glorious moment. Imagine all the room for art and architecture.. Sounds like heaven to me! I'm not saying advertisement cant be cool, beautiful, creative and fun, but I like that a city is not controlled by the big and very bold advertisements.. A city thats not controlled by whoever has the dough to buy the biggest and most visible billboard! After Ikea recently made "living areas" in the Parisian metro I must admit that I was taken back that the french government allowed them to do so, and also it was quit a good idea..
